if you have a router its easier because you dont have to make a crossover cat5 cable. plug into the router, then you have to somehow load the faplink .elf onto the ps2. i run ps2link which basically sets up a server on the ps2 that waits for incoming data, run InLink to load up the .elf, then run faplink or hdl_dump
I thought faplink didnt need ps2link to be launched ??![]()
It doesn't need ps2link. Having a DMS3 is truly the shite because I have LaunchElf 3.11 as my boot.elf (on my second MC) and the server side can be launched from that.
However right now HDL_DUMP is better, especially with the GUI for the PC side by Lord Bogami (thanks for that). FAPLink still has a bug where you can't install anything larger than 2GB.
the HDLDUMP server elf uses IPCONFIG.DAT and can be launched as a standalone with your favorite loading method.
