Recently I've been trying to transfer games over a network cable using hdl_dumb, but the speed seems rather slow. It's only going at around 0.6 MBPS so I was wondering if this is normal, and if it is, are there any other methods that will result in a faster speed? Also, will transferring games over a network produce problems that normally won't happen if I were to just install the game by connecting the hd to my pc?

Not sure, but the Faplink program was also limited to roughly this speed.

Too bad, considering the average speed is less than 1% of what it should be capable of. If it's simply not possible, it's most likely due to a limitation on the PS2 end if anything.

Regardless, I still prefer this method to pulling out the HDD.
