I patched the the socom 2 image to turn on the hd in the options menu but, I cant get the sony dvd with the map on it to reconize the harddrive and install. I patched that disk too and still no luck. I have not heard of a successful attempt yet.

I thought of this method, but I dont know if it works ....

is there anyway to remove the socomII made partition thats on an official HDD??

I have an official HDD with the new map installed. But my fiance has a PS2 with no HDD, and Id like to get her on the new map with one of my extra HDD's I have laying around.

Could we remove the socom partition, and then somehow add it to a non-sony HDD manually??

like using FAPLink to send to her drive.... That's a good question.... have you ran the exploit on her sytem to see if you can read teh socom ii partition from PS2Menu?

If so doesn't PS2Menu support FTP... then could it be possible to use PS2Menu to FTP to PC the back to her PS2....

I don't have a Sony HDD. Socom II, and can't get PS2Menu to see my PC... which "bytes"...

I have tried to rip the SocomII made partition using a variety of software, and I usually end up with an error or in the case of HDLdump/b Im told "The partition is not an HD loader partition."

So it seems that most applications we have are only coded to work with HD loader partitions.

u cant just mirro the image of the HD to a unofficial hard drive whith both connected to your PC? , then ass the patched file that i seen in one of the forums

    this would probably work
    NEW , v4 mobo , 400-C laser , Matrix infinity chip ,
modded with 2 windows and painted white.
    ps2 , V4 , unmodded. (SOLD )
    ps2 v7 with Messiah 2 chip...(Died )

currently using , infinity manager ,hdd utility tools so i can save games to HD via the brower ,HDloader ,
ps2menu-k w/ 160GB HD, and networked to PC for game transfers , and media player. damn i love my set up , thanks for the install THINKDIFF <done bussiness with him twice so far and the Mod installs are perfect. (highly recommend if your in NY)

    Projects:
1.modded memory card with big ass blue LED: done
    (check forum for pics)
2.just finished the door bell mod , can reset my ps2 from 100ft away (wireless)... just makes me happy!

looking to start another project, holla at me if u got any ideas..
