SOCOM 2 HDD support?
Greetings,
I have v9 w/dms3 2.3 flash, atad pactching off, maxtor 120 gb, original HD Loader. Yesderday I was in the options menu of SOCOM 2 and I turned on HD support, at which time I noticed the HDD being accessed. Then, the game rebooted, and just after the memory card is accessed, it says something to the effect of "searching harddrive for downloaded content", (again, the hdd engages) then moves on. So, I have 2 questions/comments:
1) Cool, even with a HDLoader formatted HDD, SOCOM 2 seems to be able to use the HDD.
2) Is this even cool? Have any such downloads been made public, or will they ever?
Thanks
Teo

here is a question:
if you have socom2 original and you have a HDloader formatted non-sony drive and go into the options menu you can't select the use of using the option of storing to the HDD. i heard when you go online with socom2 it wants to download to your memory card or HDD updates... with the memory cards only being 8meg, it would be nice to use the HDD.
if a person patches the socom2 to work with the HDD non-sony hardware, but the drive was formatted with hdloader, will it work, or does hdloader format the drive a little bit different than how the official sony drives.

well ign reported there to be 3 new maps coming soon.
Also i have a sony hdd, with hdloader and that shiet on, and i enabled socom 2 hdd, and when i went into broswer, there is a partition created for socom 2 and is 256mb. But when i used hddformat to see how much is free in that partition or some other program it says its only used 6megs or so, so maybe it is for prepartion when the maps come out i have no idea.
