newbie here, i got slim 70000 series ps2(fitted with matrix chip) connected with the hd( i Bought it form the city center shop). it stopped working recently. It is not booting to the hdloader screen.( It was booting from the hard disk [dev 2 boot]). i removed the hard disk and checked it through winhiip from pc. the games are still thereand so is hdloader. so i scanned, repaired the disk and connected back to the slim ps2 and still its not working. the same hard disk if a connect to a Big or fat ps2(fitted with matrix chip) it boots from the dev2 method and works properly.
my problem is , if i boot via memory card(dev1) it constantly asks for formatting the hard disk and if i try with dev 2 method it shows red blank screen.

    kindly help

It seems a cable of your IDE-Connection came loose...
Get it repaired by the GUI who sold it you, or get it repaired in a different way.
