i'm trying to play movies that's in my ps2 using ps2reality.
I've sucessfullly ran ps2 reality using HDloader. running it just like a game. But then when i'm in ps2 reality, i can play movies from my CDrom or MC only... no HDD..
i was wondering if there's a way to trick it so taht i can open and play the movies from the Harddrive.

it reads explicitly from the CD, or over a network.
hopefully, if SE, or whatever it is, gets released, it will support that, but for now it's just those two options. THe network streaming is nice though...but still...
*wishes he had an xbox so he could run xbmc*

Network streaming is actually easy. I'm in the process of writing a tutorial for my site on it.
VERY SHORT VERSION:
You just need a crossover cable, or a cat5 (if you have a router/hub). Connect one end to the ps2 and the other to your pc. Next you need the ps2vfs files along with the java runtime sdk libraries. Its around 14Mb I think. (ps2vfs found at my site via my sig) Download and make a directory in C:\ called ps2vfs.
Go to Start, Run, and type cmd (for xp) or command (for 98) and a dos prompt will open up. type in cd C:\ps2vfs. After that, you need to execute the pc side server. Type in java -jar ps2vfs.jar
That will execute the server. If you get the newest release of ps2vfs (not on my site ATM) then you will have a simple yet effective GUI.
Finally, configure on the PS2 side via the network properties. Put in your pc ip address and the default port 6969 should be fine. After that press connect and everything should be good. Check your Browser for the files, and make sure you have the pc-side server pointed to the right directory for your media files.
P.S. - the newest version of ps2vfs, as mentioned above, was made from the sources of the original (and who says ps2reality isnt open-source?) by someone else. This version also includes a WebRadio function, as well as a few new features.

Have I found a solution or something? http://ps2r.dg2.org/150/burning/cdrguide.html
If you put the media player and avi/mp3/jpg etc. on the same image with that guide, can I put it to HD and will it work. BTW, I have never used PS2Reality so can someone help.
