Reset button not working with hdloader

Hi

is it just me or is the reset button not working when loading a game from the harddrive with hdloader.
I got a Magic 3 Chip and i think it is a V5 PS2.
When i press reset it just turns off.

I think the slow reaction of the reset button is to protect the HD.

ie, I don't think normal reset is allow.

i don´t think the hd is protected very much if it has to spin down and rapidly spin up again just because i wan´t to reset the console.

it's normal all ps2s do this with a hardrive inside

tap reset button twice to reset.

i just hold the reset for about 2 seconds, then i hear the ps2 or maybe hdd doing something, so i let go and it shuts off.
