So I have this folder on my HDD called "+MP3". I must have created it sometime ago while using Reality or the other media player. Well last night, I went in through PS2 OS to try and delete it but it didn't work. I then FTP'ed into the HDD and sure enough, that didn't work either. How does a person remove a PFS parition/folder? I can't see it through HDL_Dump either.

My ultimate goal is to either rename that directory to 'PGEN' or 'ROMS' for the sega games (roms) or else to just delete it and recreate a new one. Any ideas as to what I could do or programs for my exploit that I could/should use? Thanks.

awesome! ok thanks for the info

..yeah i just wasn't sure if you had to have a DMS chip or not on that. btw, their website (dms3) under 'downloads', the links aren't working but yeah i'll definitely google for it or else just post a request for the file(s) here.

    thanks again!

so i tried the 'hdd format tool' 1.1 today over my lunch hour and it didn't work...? i'm using 'keylauncher' and it just said "loading from memory card..." and just hung there. i think i'll try various versions until i get one that works. i really don't need the *patched* one though as i'm running a 120 gb HDD.

Try using launchelf as your BOOT.ELF. I've had no problems running the DMS format tool from it.

i'm going to try the DMS hdd format 1.0 and 1.1 versions from the site itself tonight. the files i was having issues with earlier (on their site) i think were different than what i needed. anyway, if keylauncher gives me further issues, then i guess i'll have to switch to 'launchelf' on my extra memory card
