From within HDL, press SELECT and number the options in your head from top to bottom. Mode 3 is the third option from the top, called "Kill HDL after launch". Highlight it, press X, then press SELECT to save the configuration, wait, and start the game. HDL will remember the option you chose and you won't have to select it again next time you want to play that game.
Look at this page - http://list.ps2hd.com/
Here you can search for the game to see if it's compatible or not, and what modes, if any, need to be turned on.
Acording to this page, FFX International WORKS with mode 3 enabled.
Hope this was helpful, need any more, just ask. But I know very little compared to other people here.
hi thx it is but weirdly Final fantasy X international dont even copy to my HDD it says it has read errors and wether or not i want to continue installing it regardless , well when i continue the hours left says 10006050505 or something and its stucked with over 100 errors reading, and it never gets passed 1% even after 30min is there another way to install it to harddrive ? also does anyone install hdloader to their memory card and boot from mem? how do u do it? oh the FFX disk is perfect no scratches and it works fine when i play the disk. my ps2 is modded with dev neo chip.
A couple of quick tips for you:
CD games (blue) like the ones I mentioned above that complain about bad sectors, you should rip the disc using CDRWin and tell it to repair bad sectors (really odd, normally you NEVER want it to do that), then use WinHIIP or HDL_DUMB to install that disc image to your PS2 over LAN.
DVD games (silver) that refuse to install from the PS2 for whatever reason should be installed from your PC using WinHIIP or HDL_DUMB.
Dual Layer DVD discs should always be installed from PC (follow above) at this time, as there are yet some problems with the HDL patches for DL installation.
Black CDs are PS1 games and will not run off HD. These will NEVER work with HDLoader, and likely never will work with any HD-based setup, period. The PS2's PS1 emulation uses subsystems that any HD interface code would run on, to simplify the complex reasoning.
Lastly, in general, you should probably ALWAYS use HDL_DUMB or WinHIIP to do your game installs. They're about 100% more compatible in terms of actually getting the disc onto your HD.
oh i see i have a problem though ive got my ps2 hookd upto my router and my router to my pc but how do i detect the ps2 in my router what software should i use? hdloader couldn't detect it so i cant use winhiip , cause when i use winhiip it comes up blank only my pc harddrives show not my ps2, and this HDL_DUMB where can i get that ? ya i really should use pc to copy them over upto now i have hdloader , winhiip and ulf launcher i kno how to use hdloader a bit but ive yet to use ulf launcher or winhiip cause just cant see my ps2 from my pc.
