Random Formatting In Progress

I have installed Hdloader on mine and my friends ps2.. they r both installed on the mem card. mine works fine but his at random times will say formatting in progress and all of his games get deleted. ive tried everthing i could think of. he is using a maxtor hdd.

Did you try a different version/copy/kind of hdloader type software?

yes weve had problems with the first version all the way up to the latest releases.

That's quite strange... Did you try a different hard drive/running the app from a disc?
