Quick HDD question please help

Helo, i have recently just bought a new harddrive and am wondering what to do from there. I have read up on many ways to do it but am still a bit confused.

Should i first install my harddrive into my playstation2 and than transfer to my pc and than put a game on the hdd OR
Should i directly install the harddrive to my pc (as master or slave?) and use WinHIIP to transfer the games?

I think i have a slight idea:

Do i first put harddrive into ps2 and load up toxic and than let it partition it. After it gets partitionted to ps2 format i put it as slave? in the pc and than use WinHIIP to transfer the games?

You can do either. If you intend on using WInHIIP to install games anyway then you may as well format it directly in WinHIIP. When you choose to format within WinHIIP just choose Toxic under the Application drop down list.
