Questions about .elf and hdd and hd advance, etc

OK. I finally got my hands on a PS2 with a Matrix Infinity installed. How do I set it up so that I can hold R1 to boot HD Advance off of the memory card with no disc in the tray? I keep hearing about hdloader.elf and other .elf files, but where do you find them? This is the first time I have ever tried this, so bear with me. Are there any walkthroughs specifically for users of the Matrix Infinity?

screw it, I quit. I'm so pissed off right now that I would just love to take a hammer to my ps2.

Can somebody list all of the files that I need to burn to a CD to put on my memory card to make this crap work? I can't believe it can be this confusing. I know how to hack DTV and Dish, yet I just cannot seem to get the hang of this bulls*it!
