Question on v10 4c model and hdd
Hi, I just got myself a v10 date code 4c ps2. I read in some forums that big hdd's can cause the laser in v9/v10 systems to overheat faster. Is this true?
Also I was wondering if the newer 4c systems have that problem with the LA chip getting too much voltage and overheating when you chip the system? I remember reading that Sony was supposedly supposed to fix that a while ago and since the 4c's are made fairly recent I was wondering if maybe I had the model. I don't have a voltmeter to test the voltage so Im hoping one of you guys know.
If anyone could post some pictures of alternate 3.3v points on the v10 that would be great too!
One last question, I saw some questions posted by others about finding a 7v point on their ps2 for the LA chip Romeo Mod. I heard that 7v might work better than 5v for some systems overtime. All the questions were for v9 systems so Im wondering if someone could show me where a 7v spot on a v10 system would be?
Sorry for all of the questions, thanks for your time guys.
