Question about having 2 versions of HDL on 1 memory card

I use HDL 0.7c on MC with exploit on unmodded PS2, I don't use LaunchElf or anything to start HDL, instead I use a patched TITLE.DB to launch HDL directly (the HDL elf is named BOOT.ELF).

Now I want to add an MDMA patched HDL to my MC for games that require it, I copyed it to same folder, and when the normal HDL 0.7c boots, I start LaunchELF (which I installed as an ISO so I can start it from HDL) and run the MDMA patched HDL from inside LaunchELF, it loads, but when I select any of the installed games to run it hangs on a black screen.

What am I doing wrong? Is it not possible to do HDL 0.7c -> LaunchELF -> MDMA HDL to run games? I tried Mode 3 when running LaunchELF but that didn't help.

Is my only option to boot LaunchELF first (BOOT.ELF) then select either of the HDLs depending on my need?

It's not possible to have two HDL's loaded into memory at once. What you want to do is install an ISO of EXECFTPS and load it from the HDD. Once there, you want to access your memory card via FTP.

Install Keylauncher inplace of HDL as your BOOT.ELF, and then make two directories in your memory card root
HDLOADER
HDMDMA
Put the revelent files in each folder (example, named HDLOADER.ELF and HDMDMA.ELF) and set your KD.DAT file to something like this

Now when you reboot you'll have two options. Press X for your ordinary HDLoader and O for your MDMA version.

Yeah I knew about this, and I already use ExecFTP for to add/remove files on my MC, but I like the convenience and quickness of having the default HDL load automatically since I use it for 99% of the games, only 1 or 2 games require the MDMA version... I guess I can have LaunchELF (or KeyLauncher) run the default HDL automatically after a delay of 5 seconds or so, and if I want to run the MDMA version I'll just hit a button before the time runs out... Not the perfect solution IMO, but I guess I have no other choice.
