Question about backing up games on the ps2 HDD

Hi everyone I have some questions about copying isos from the ps2 hdd back to pc. I'm wondering mainly b/c I install the games from pc to ps2 hdd via hdldumb. But one time I replaced the hdd that was in my ps2. I thought originally that I could just install the hdd that was in the ps2 (with some games installed) to the pc and the pc will be able to read the contents of it. But my pc complained that the hdd drive was not formatted correctly. So is there any tool that I could use so I can copy the games that I have on my ps2 hdd back to my pc? Thanks.

Winhiip. The newest version that was just released is 1.7. It should be on one of the later pages.
