Since you can not load backups with the HDloader, can you transfer the image to the PS2 with an FTP program or something?

You can load backups and imports if you use a fliptop and do a swap, or use a chip. There is no truly reliable FTP method but you can dump games using HDL_DUMP or HDL_DUMB but its not that fast. I recommend buying a USB 2.0 enclosure for your PC and transferring via WinHIIP.

I agree Entwined.. WinHIIP is good with 8-11Mbs/sec. While transfer speed with HDL_Dump only transfers not even at 1Mb/sec.
If you can Dark try to get an external HDD incloser so you can tranfer games that way and use WinHIIP!..

Well here is my problem. I backuped up my Mercenaries disc and let a friend borrow the original for the week. My problem is, I don't have a large enough TOC disc.
1. Ghost Recon 2
2. GT3
3. Syphon Filter
4. Splinter Cell: Pandora tomorrow
5. Socom II: US Navy Seals

Do you guys know if any of there are big enough to boot it? Mercenaries is 4 gigs I think.

ya we know what you met Dark... The one thing that gets me is that you shouldent need another disk to swap.. I mean your using HDloader right.. Just boot up HDLoader and install the game after you swap your PS1 boot disk and put in your backup..
Quistion for ya thou.. Are you useing HDloader.ELF or is it the Disk?.. If its the disk your just goin to need to rent a game with a TOC big enough to install your game..
But with me I would tell your buddy to give you your game back for a day and then install it.. Then give him the game back to him..
