PS2 only reading 40G instead of 80G

I have a maxtor 80G and I filled 40G up and it says I have 41G more on HD Loader. I thought you didn't need to do anything special to the 80G, I thought it was only 120G and up. How do I fix this prob

It sounds like everything is working fine, I mean you say you filled up 40 gigs and it says you have 41 gigs more to fill up so exactly what is the problem here?

When I store another game its says that I need to clear space from the hardrive because its empty

Yea I've had it give me that message a few times, but I just retried it and it worked like normal.

zelo the part about you needing to clear more space because its empty is because you are naming your game too long. try giving it a short name like A or B and once it finishes then rename it.

I think that was what caused my error as well, but I just reset the PS2 and renamed the game to the same name after it was downloaded to the HD and it worked.
