    Hello,

There is a website, actually, lots of websites, selling non-genuine (I believe from the boxing), Ps2 Adapters with SATA ports. And I was wandering, if anyone has bought these before, does it still work with HDLoader, is everything the same and nice and smooth ?

    Thank you.

Also do, Sata, SATA II, and SATA 3 all have the same plugs ? OR is it just a name to differentiate between performance of the hard drives ?

EDIT: Saw two threads talking about this product, but no one has reported back to see if it works, so wandering if someone can give me a heads up.

there are a couple of threads around where someone has used an IDE to SATA adaptor on a IDE network adaptor. works well depending on which one you get. some of them have inconvenient placing of the ports. by that i mean the adaptor will fit on the IDE network adaptor and a SATA drive will fit on the SATA connector but when you try to put it back in the PS2 it wont go in properly. have a search. and if you do want to get one of the SATA controllers PLEASE report back to let us know if they are any good.......

    Ok,

Well I am gonna buy one, this is what he said in his response email (this is at eachgame.com) that ship worldwide.
    "hi,
    thanks for your email,
sure ,we can ship to anywhere for freeshipping ,
but we suggest you choose register post or DHL if the order is more than 40$,
also we can't track it on the site,
the item you said is in stock,
please make an order on our site directly,
    Support HDAdvance 3.0 and up
    regards,
    Echo"

Really, SATA hard drives cans suppourt Ps2 games with Hdloader installed right ? (If thats a yes, then I'll buy one), cause IDE hard drives are like 100 dollars for 500 GB ones. CAn get a SATA II for 50 dollars, 500 GB. I'll buy it if SATA Drives suppourt Ps2 games and work on HDloader (should though, since people are making SATA/IDE adapters and getting them to work, right ?)

yes it should work. i would use OPL instead of HDLoader. has better compatability and is still being developed. HDLoader has not changed for over 2 years.... also OPL can give you the option of using a share on your PC with your ISO's . what doesnt fit on the 500G can be accessed from your PC...or NAS or USB drive. OPL is much more versatile.
