    I am having a problem.

The problem is that even though it states in the readme that the program IGNORES HD LOADER partitions, everytime I boot PS2MENU-K, the default partition loaded on psf0 is a random HD Loader game partition and I have to manually switch to the PS2MENU partition with L1.

Is this normal behaviour with the 48bit (I have a 200GB Maxtor DiamondMax +10 HD) patch?

I have never tried PS2MENU without the 48bit patch due to the size of my HD.

vegeta this is a know problem with ps2menu-k, It will always try to load the last partition made. In the case of hdloader partitions it gives an error, but its nothing to worry about you just have to select the partition you want.

Does anyone know if anyone will be putting out a patch to auto load the HDLoader .elf in PS2MENU-K 48bit?? I did have a patched version of the older PS2MENU-K non-lba48 loader that loaded the HDLoader .elf file automatically. It sure would be nice. Since this version takes forever to load. Does anyone have an alternative way of doing this using the Independent Mem card exploit that would auto load the .elf file?

I have never tried PS2MENU without the 48bit patch due to the size of my HD.
I remember reading on a forum somewhere that ps2menu-k v0.31 tries to hide all hdl partitions and also tries to start in a partition called "MAIN" and without this partition you will get a filesystem loading error, usually of the last game that you added.

I don't think that it causes any functional problems with ps2menu-k.

But if you want to get rid of this error you have to create a partition called "MAIN" on you ps2 hdd. You can do that with *** HDD Format Tools. Use the 48-bit patched version made by Zer0-X. Don't worry you can use the *** HDD Format Tool without a *** mod chip.

With the partition called "MAIN" ps2menu-k will boot with this partition as the defualt pfs: partition. I find it very useful. I boot ps2menu-k using the my mem card and run any other elfs that I have from the hdd. This lets me have all three versions of the latest hdl patches created by Zer0-X, Clement, & crazyc (thanks guys ) within easy reach for maximum compatibility without taking up space on my mem card.

Plus, it takes fewer button presses than browsing through the memcard.

ps2menu-k may not be pretty, but if you set it up right, learn how to use it, and change the colors to be more pleasant, it can be a very useful utility program.

    Hope that helps.
