you have to edit the ipconfig.dat file using an ip address valid on your local network. hte default ip that ps2link uses i believe is 192.168.1.23.

You need to change PS2link's IPCONFIG.DAT to set the GATEWAY to your PC's ip address, and you need to change your PC's ip address to set the gateway to PS2's ip address. You need to do this because you are using a cross over cable and not a proper router/switch setup. Something like:

    PC IP info:
    address 192.168.0.99
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    gateway 192.168.0.10

    PS2 IP info:
    address 192.168.0.10
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    gateway 192.168.0.99

If you have a router, just change the gateways to point to your router. Something like:

    PC IP info:
    address 192.168.0.99
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    gateway 192.168.0.1

    PS2 IP info:
    address 192.168.0.10
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    gateway 192.168.0.1

You are suppose to get a "READY" after the last line you got. I had the freezing problem when the IRXs are incompatible. Now I just grab the zip file from ps2dev, and use all the IRXs in the zip file.

Hey Waruwaru, please check the attached document It is a skecth of the setup I got at home.

    PC IP info:
    address xx.x.x.3
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    gateway xx.x.x.1

    PS2 IP info:
    address xx.x.x.5
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    gateway xx.x.x.1

Now when I boot the PS2, there is an indicator light from the switch. After the pukklink CD boots, this light turns off. Then I start Inliink but there is no connection between the PC and the PS2.

    What should I do?

    Thanks
