ps2 iso? PC to PS2? –
11-05-2004,12:59 AM
Ok I've been looking around but most options don't seem to fit my needs... I'm looking for a way to transfer ps2 games to my ps2 from my pc but I don't want to take the HD out and put it in a pc. So is there a way to connect to the network adapter from my pc without a router I'm short on money and would like a way to do it without a router are there any options for me??

You can use a Network cable. Run it from the pc straight to the ps2 using WHIIP.

You could probably follow any guide that requires a router, and instead of a router you can use a crossover eth cable to connect your ps2 to your ethernet card. Cable costs about 5-10 bucks.

By network cable do u mean a crossover cable like sloose mentioned? Also does WinHIIP let you use the network adapter I thought it was only used if the HD was connected directly to ur pc. So I can use a crossover cable instead of a router? If so will LordBoGaMi_HDLD_GUI work with a crossover cable? And will it detect the ps2 automaticly or do I need to do something

If you don't use a router you would need a crossover cable to connect the ps2 to the pc. I don't remember if WinHIIP have network support, but hdl_dump does, just search for it and you should find all the answers you need. Here is the hdl_dump page:

The version I have is a gui ver and it does not have a read me with the info... I guess my question is how do I load the HDLD_SVR.ELF on my ps2 I want to boot it from cd also how do I get my ps2s IP Address. will I need an IPConfig file?

I haven't try to load it from cd, but you may try to make a system.cnf that point to the HDLD_SVR.ELF and it may work.
Example (system.cnf open in notepad):
BOOT2=cdrom0:\HDLD_SVR.ELF;1
VER=1.00
VMODE=NTSC
When you have the proper system.cnf, just make a ps2 cd with the system.cnf and the HDLD_SVR.ELF in the root directory (you may add a dummy file just in case your ps2 has problems reading small size cds).
Yes you need a IPCONFIG.DAT file, the default ps2 address is 192.168.0.10 and the IPCONFIG.DAT should be in mc0:SYS-CONF/IPCONFIG.DAT. If you have problems loading it directly from cd you can always use PS2menu or LaunchELF to launch it.
