ps2 hdd error

hello i have a old fat ps2 and it been soft moded but now my hdd will not work when i try to run my 300gb ide hdd it tell me there no hd conected to my ps2 when it is and a few months ago it was working rine can anyone help me with this problem im stuck and not sure how to correct this

First and foremost run uLE and run hard drive manager see if it is even detected then if it is what showing if it is showing then all that is probably wrong is FMCB is turned off for check update HD

i ran ulaunch and accest my ps2 hd but it showing it full empty

You did use the hard drive manger because just browsing on HD will not show installed games

filebrowser misc HddManager See if it says connected and formatted at top

saying connected no formated no but i have over 150gb of my games back up a few months ago and it was fine when i change to my 40gb hdd it let me run linux i copy to it a while bk just 300gb not working at all now ty for all your help btw

So you have it on master mode maybe someone removed the Bridges or not correct

Suggestion remove check pins check see if it in Master not slave or cable select if all done connect try again

no i check and it set to master it never got touched what happen was 6 ish months ago my home boy kicked it by axdent and since it not let me run my 300gb at all wasnt sure if the hdd is bad now bc of that

You could hook it to pc see if it recognizes it check with WinHIIP_V1.7.6 see if it is repairable utility scan if it show that had as ps2 repair then save may recover the games even
If not but HD is detected on PC then do a low level format might fix it but you will have to install all games again
