ps2 hardrive go to sleep

hi since ive dumped some game in the ps2 hdd (by plugin it into my computer directly) my ps2 hdd got to sleep 2min after i started to play a game....and i have to switch off my ps2 then relunch hdloader someone can help with that matters what shoud i do?

ve got some probleme after a few min of playing a game installed on the hdd via the hdloader the hardrive strangly stop reading and im force to reboot the ps2 no matter the game

do you know why this is happening

Whats the make and model # of the hard drive? PS2 version?

Have you tried reformatting and then dumping games again to see if it fixes it?

if it's going to sleep that fast, it could be a defect in the HDD as well... I've not heard of a harddrive that sleeps that fast...

plus, if it goes to sleep, it should wake properly

the hdd is a maxtor 120

checked it's connected right and not a little out of the pins and power?
