I got the 40GB hard drive for my PS2 when I purchased FFXI. I hardly ever play the game anymore. I was just wondering if it's possible to save my games on the hard drive? I've heard of people saying things that you can and such. But if anyone knows out there could you please inform me on how. I got very limited space on my current 8MB memory card and I just purchased GT4. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased the HDD with FFXI and it didn't come with a CD that enables me to save my games on it. Do you know where I can get this CD?

Sorry, but no.. I thought that you'd automatically get that together with the sony hdd, but, as you said, you bought it together with ffxi so.. Think it's called sony utility disc or something..

You can copy games on and off of the official HDD from the PS2's Browser screen. However games cannot save directly to the HDD. They would have to be programmed specifically to do so and to date not a single one has. But being able to use the HDD as a repository for all of your saves to free up memory card space is just as good.

Actually, many have, but not outside of the NTSC J region. So far, for the NTSC U/C region, all of the ESPN 2K5 games can, and I think the latest Sims game does.
