Is there a tool that can let you defragment the ps2 hard drive?
Not yet, but it would be useful..
The Official Sony HDD Tools will let you Defrag your HDD. I do it whenever I take a lot of games off the HDD and add new ones.
are that the tools which don't work on a PAL ps2???
I wonder how long these idiots of Sony Europe will take u8ntil they release taht damn ffxi with these tools included
Yes, it doesn't work with a PAL console.Originally Posted by Den Leiw

curses...
but if its on a cd that came with the hdd wouldnt you just be able to copy it usin hd loader and run it off of there?
Running it isn't the issue, getting it to actually format the drive and install the browser software is. With the ATAD auto patching though it works like a charm.Originally Posted by Crimsondreams

shoot this could really suck if you add and remove games frequently. the files will be all spread out throughout the drive. the atad thing uses the sony software to defrag? the DMS format tool does not do any defragging right?
