you could get DNAS errors and you may not be able to boot backups.
ok but if i have my magic v and i install the hdd and i dont quit the chip this will not harm my ps2 or my chip??? in other words will it be ok to play whit the hdd whit the chip installed and if i deatach the hdd play my copies whit no problem to the console or the chip??
try using "with" instead of "whit"Originally posted by Evilkairi

what chips support the hd?
Supposedly DMS3 or something with the Fastboot feature is supposed to support the hdd
magic V sleep mode
In Refernce to all of this, I was infact wondering about SLEEP mode.
If i intend to buy the HDD Kit and FFXI and put my MAGIC 3.1 into SLEEP mode, will the HDD/FFXI/Network adaptor work?
Fordgebd
Sleep modes should work, but the problem is that backups WON'T boot with the HDD installed, unless you fast boot w/DMS.
