    Ok, so I am using hdl_dumb 0.8.5

I put thehdld_svr on my memory card and using the filebrowser I run it from there. The PS2 sets up and says ready. I then changed my laptops IP to 192.168.0.1 (I also did 192.168.0.2 because someone told me to try that) and both of them connected. I could view my PS2's HDD and everything on it.

So I then went to install a game. My friend had downloaded Sengoku Basara 2 and burned it to a DVD to play it. (he has a slim ps2 and burns it to play with the swap magic, so this is how he burned it for me)

I picked my drive (cd1: I think in my case because cd0: gave me an I/O device error), titled the game, and put in the startup, which was "SLPM_664.47" according to a file I saw when I explored the DVD that matched the formats for other startups I saw.

Now, when all is done, and everything seems fine, I hit install. and I get this...

    Unexpected
    "Device not ready"

and I have no idea what's going on now...

try ripping the ps2 game with dvd decrypter to the HD first as a .ISO

then transfer the .ISO from your harddrive

So yeah, that did work after I tried it. I guess my DVD drive just wouldn't transfer it? oh well. Thanks a lot Alucard!
