Problems, please help !!

Hey guys, i have a slim ps2 modded with matrix infinity
I've added a external hard drive on it with games on it , installed good (ul_install in dos mode)
I've made a cd with the usb advance software on it and inserted in the slim ps2 , but nothing happen (with the exernal hd connected on ps2)
What am i doing wrong ???
Please help
