I have my ps2 connected to my PC with a crossover cable and I have also tried it on my network with a HUB and both have same results. I have a connecting and receive a reply from the ps2 when I ping. However when i try to "attach" in HDL DUMB it will just sit there and hang and eventually freeze up completely.

I have tried turning off my norton 2005 firewall completely and still no luck.

I know I have a connection because I can connect with EXCFTP.

ANy help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you run hdld_srv from the ps2?You need it to make the connection between the PC and the PS2.
