    Hey,

I'm using the hdl_dump and LordBoGami's app to try and transfer some disc images off the Ps2 via the network. I have a Mac, so i'm using VirtualPC to do this. Everything seems to go fine, but the resulting disk image is not readable. I can't mount the image in OS X (which I can do with any other PS2 disc image) and when i put it into my burning app it says "Type could not be detected, enter manually" and then gives me the option to set the pre/post-gaps and the Byte size.

Any ideas why the images are coming out corrupted?

Hey fellow Macman! I'm sorry I have no idea why your disk images would be corrupted. This is after you've transfered them I presume, they will mount fine before you transfer them?
I have been trying to accomplise the same thing for quite some time now, I'd really appreciate you telling me what your settings are. I have hdl_dumb running on Virtual PC and HDLD server running on the memory card. I've set the i.p address on the PS2 as 192.168.0.10 (the default I think) and 192.168.0.1 on windows (also the default I think) and I've also set my Mac in the same range 192.168.0.5 But it will never connect. I've also tried FAPLINK and execftp, all with the same lack of results.

SUCCESS! I just got hold of a crossover ethernet cable instead of a regular one and it all works fine. This might seem obvious to PC users but on a Mac I can connect to another Mac with any kind of ethernet cable. Anyway, all sorted out now.
