    I have a problem.
I used ATA network adapter on my PS2 with 160GB HDD WD. All Great.
Now i got SATA network adapter, and borrowed from my friend SATA 160GB, 5 years old.
I try to use it. Some games works great, like on previous ....
But some .... for wxample, god of war, it starts, and whrn need to begin, when Kratos says "God of Olympus has abandoned me!" and camera go away from him, and he need to make a step to jump, it doesnt happen. In one moment you can see
one glitch, and he is just standing there. Not FREEZE, you see clouds moving, birds fly aroiund, all OK, but he hust stay there, and doesnt move. I tried and PAL platinum on DL, and NTSC USA of 3.6 GB, in both versions same thing.
So, game starts , go MENU, choose NEW GAME, choose difficulty, and then just stands ....

Then i tried with some old 40 GB SATA from PS3 fat, i formatted, with WinHiip, (but only allows 24bit, not 48 ... could this be problem? ) and same thing happens.

What shpuld i do? I get SATA bicouse SATA HDDS are cheaper, and can be found new, and wanted to sell SATA adapter together with HDD, but now i dont know what to do ?

    Any idea why this happens?

    Tekken5 works great.

Are you using HDLoader or Open PS2 Loader to boot the games off of the HDD? Have you tried putting the games into modes 1 or 2 or both. Those modes should help with the freezing issue.

In OPL just press triangle on the game and you can set the modes from there. In HDLoader you need to set the modes before you install the games.

I've recently installed a WD 500Mb hard drive using this adapter and all appears to be well in that it is recognised by the BIOS and a primary master and I appear to have successfully installed Linux Mint 13 on it. However, when I come to boot up it goes into the GNU Grub selection screen and then , no matter what I select, it claims not to be able to find the /dev/disc ... on ata 1 and times out.

Any suggestions as to what else I might need to do to get it to load up the OS properly?
