Problem Reading Dard Drive error w/ WinHIIP
Problem Reading Dard Drive error w/ WinHIIP –

I use WinHIIP v1.7.2 to transfer games to my hard drive. It has worked perfectly until recently. I deleted an image of a game that I no longer played and uploaded another game.Ss soon as the new game was uploaded, WinHIIP gives me an error that it cannot read my hard drive. The uploaded game worked with HDLoader, the hard drive still works with my PS2. I just downloaded v1.7.3 and used the new read drive structure utility and it gives me the same error message about half way through. Is there a way of fixing this without having to retranser everything? Is it possible for HDL_Dump to read and extract images the hard drive even though it was formatted with WinHIIP?

I have the exact same problem with winhiip right now. I'm using a 160 WD and I needed to make room for some new games. I erased like 4 of them and winhiip said that I had 8+ gigs of fragments on the drive. I installed the new games and when i booted HDL on my ps2, some of my games were missing.
I went back to winhiip to see what was going on and now it gives me a "There is a problem with reading the hard drive" error. I remember like 2-3 months ago, there was a utility for recovering ps2 partitions that was released here on the scene. I'm going to try and find that. If that doesn't work, I'm going to see if i can run hdld_srv and upload some of the games from my ps2.
I have some import games on there that i never backed up
. I could care less about the other games on there.
