Problem installing HDL to MC

I have a V10 Satin Silver PS2 with Matrix Infinity v1.36.

I was told to use this script as the INSTALL.CNF for installing HD Loader via Infinity Manager v1.36.

When I install, it says installation succesful but when checking the memory card contents, it shows the HDL file as Corrupt Data and size is only 1kb.

I do have enough space on the MC for HDL, 689KB PACKED ELF with ps2packer 0.3 with 0x1a0000 pack option, ELF is named BOOT.ELF with all but the Bigger Game List patch with HDL AIO v1.8.

Anyone know why it isn't installing properly?

I want to install it to MC so that I can boot the PS2 in DEV1 mode and HDL automatically boots from MC without a CD in the drive.

Its not corupt... I just shows that way in the mc... also have you tried booting it from dev1 yet?

Hi, the script is correct and the software installs properly, no matter if in browser u have one or two blue cubes (corrupted data) -DO NOT DELETE-
so u can boot hdl from infinity manager or dev1 using R1 or booting from dev, as u may wish.
PD. Why did u upgrade a v10 to 1.36???

Well when I try booting with R1 or DEV mode, it just goes back to the browser screen so something seems wrong with the install.

I will try /N /C /B /L /D3 /IS /IM and then hexaedit change 0x28b478 [18 00 00 24] to [00 00 00 00] and 0x110c [C0 01 04 0C] to [09 00 00 10]. And then without the hexaedit. I prefer using execftp instead of burn the files and install via infinity manager, also is usefull to save MC contents into pc for backup.
Actually I'm using HDAownz version but takes long to load gamelist.

Well, I made test #1 without /IS and /IM and works great in my v10, loads very fast (6-7 times faster with 50 games) and play some games without any trouble. I found this fix in the main post.

Well I am not patching the splash or main image either, the ELF I have patched and compressed with ps2packer is a clean elf with only patches applied by me.

Every attempt I have made so far results in a non-working HDL from MC, I don't understand what I am doing wrong.

It could be my V10 PS2 is really a V11 (I didn't mod it so I never saw the laser) and I heard the MC exploit doesn't work on a V11 although the Infinity Manager installs fine on the MC.

Also, you never mentioned what the hex edit did.

Ok, well I managed to get it on to memory card via PS2OS.

I created a folder called BOOT then copied the BOOT.ELF to the BOOT folder from disc.

Now, when I boot into DEV1 mode, HD Loader just freezes at the splash screen if I have no disc in tray and it seems the NTSC patch of HDL has no effect from memcard (the screen has borders like PAL output) and also the 48-bit patch seems to have no effect from MC.

Any idea how to fix this?

Are there any patches I don't need to apply to the HDL ELF if I am booting it from MC?

I have about 6 games on HD at the moment.
