Primary Hd Formatted Help!!!

i was using the HDL GUI and i didnt pay attention to the format option. I thought i already selected the PS2 HD but instead, the program automatically selects the primary drive. I hit format and now the main drive has a PS2 partition. I didnt reinstall windows yet. I dont want to format the drive. Is there a way i can change it back to a windows partition and keep all my files?!?! I dont want loose those hard earned files! There shuold be something done about this as a safety measure so it wont happen again. Pease help!

Take the drive to a data recovery place if it has anything important. a repartitioning is pretty difficult to recover from.

Try OnTrack's EasyRecovery. And NEVER, EVER use anything other than HDL_Dumb again.

i did, loardbagami's HDL dumb GUI RC2. Im googling around and i think its possible not sure.

LordBoGaMi's GUI is not HDL_Dumb.

sorry about that i got confused. The reason i didnt get the HDL_Dumb is that it didnt have support of the lastest version. Now that its released, im going to go get that instead of the one i had. BTW, i got all my data back...or in the process. Hope it all goes well and i have learned my lesson well

I hope the authors of WinHIIP and LordBoGaMi GUI also learn their lesson sometime ... ;-)
