i have HDL_Dump GUI, WinHIIP, and TheDecline's PS2 HDD Utility
there's also HDL_Dumb 0.3 over at pwnz, i wonder if its any good... any other one's that you think might be good?
im lookin for these features:
- auto-batch insertions (more than 1 iso at a time)
- auto-insert of game signature (SLUSXXX.YY)
- auto-insert of game name (ssx3, thps4, etc..)
hdl_dump v0.3 is the best but you have to like command line. If you want a simple GUI, hdl_dumb v0.3 is great for install and delete and it has a proper progress bar that would be difficult for the 3rd party frontends to have.
Features I would add if I could be bothered to make a frontend:
Daemon tools supports command line options, so it could be launched from a frontend and used to automatically mount/unmount many more cd/dvd images formats than just ISO. It's also a lot quicker than having to convert to ISO.
Note to some of the frontend makers:
inject_cd is used for injecting cds
inject_dvd is used for injecting dvds
The source for either one can be CDx: or "file.ISO".

Well V1.4 Beta 2 of my WinHIIP handles batch adding of images, automatic game signature, but will only automatically use the iso name as the game name for the menu, you can also set the compatability modes.
It also has a proper progress bar and a transfer rate display and supports most of the common image file formats (iso, cue/bin, nrg, mdf/mds, gi).
It also does not rely on any other programs as all the partition and HDL install code is part of the program. The only downside at the moment is limited support for Windows 98/ME.
I have only released this in one place to ease fault reporting and bugs, I hope the moderators don't mind me posting the following link, but this is where you can get WinHIIP. http://forums.psxforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=22748
