is possible to store PC data on a PS2 formatted HD with this method ??? –
is just wanted to transfer a few GB of data, and didnt want to buy i new HD. So, is it possible to use the following method for using a PS2 HD instead:
1) put all the files to be transported in CDgenps2, and make an ps2 ISO
2) send the ISO to the PS2 HD using winhiip, and extenal HD enclosure
3)take it to the new location
4) extract the iso using winhiip and external HD enclosure
5) either extract data from iso using isobuster, or using a CD emulator ??
is this possible ? i cant see why it shoudnt be possible, but still i wanted to ask...
Yes, but... –
very possible, but:
1/ you are wasting HD space, with the 128MB partitions of the PS2
2/ HDLoader will try to boot your PC data...
3/ Don't forget the 8+3 filenames on the PS2
My advice: make a big archive, named "8+3 like", of your PC data, and make an image with the archive, a SYSTEM.CNF file, and an elf like LaunchElf to boot.
In fact, i've already found PC data in PS2 game disks, inside the dummy files!
What kind of PC data have you found inside dummy files?
