Possible to boot from hdd?
Possible to boot from hdd? –
I was wondering about how we backup our games to the hd using hd advance or some other form, also running the games also. I really don't like putting in and taking out the cd is there a way to image the hd advance or what not and like mess with some files so when i turn on the ps2 it loads to the hdd automatically or i can select that option or what not... thanks if someone has this answer it would really be cool to know.
The only ways to boot programs on a PS2, without using a CD or DVD disk, require having a mod-chip installed, which supports booting directly from memory card or HDD. Not all mod-chips support either one, and many support diskless booting only from memory card. (But then again, that is the fastest mode possible.)
Without a mod-chip, forget about it.

You could still use the PS1 exploit if you don't mind letting a PS1 disc in your console...
