Please post transfer rates to/from PS2 over TCP/IP,
please also state infrastructure( 100mbit switch / lesbian cable aka X-over / 10mbit hub )
50MB image | 50K/sec | 100mbit switch
800K/sec is expected
3M/sec is the transfer rate of dummy files, files only containing 0s or 1s straight.
But with ExecFTPs speeds above 120K/sec are hardly ever seen, and most of the time xfers above 80K/sec makes xfer stall.

10mbit hub i average 0.5mb-1mb/sec
100mbit nic crossover ps2 800 kb/sec
10/100mb NIC on a crossover cable -- 0.7 - 0.8 mb/s using HDLDumb.
One time it jumped to 3.0 mb/s but don't know why or if it was accurate.
100mb: pc into router using straight cable, straight cable from router to ps2;
I've had no problems with execftps, and often get about 150k/s
I noticed that ExecFTPs gets extremely slow (like 0.5k/s, sometimes the transfers totally stall) when two memory cards are put into the ps2. With only the first slot taken I get a couple hundred kb/s (pc -> ps2 hd), which is OK.
ok i dont know what i'm doing wrong, but i keep getting super crappy speeds with pc->router->ps2 here's a screenshot
have you set up your firewall? if you are using windows xp firewall switch it off!! have you configured your router?
the only firewall i have is the router and i'm pretty sure its properly configured; do i have to forward any ports?
can i directly connect with network cable pc->ps2 instead of going through the router? if i can, how do i do so?
nah, it's not a port forwarding deal.. u don't need that for internal connections...
i don't think it's a network issue.. it's just the fault of the software.. it's not the best to be installing a 1.9gb image..
