hello. im trying to install lord bogami's gui for hdl dump. i have a chip so booting is not a problem. i also have a wireless linsksys router. it shows my ps2 as 192.168.1.225 255.255.255.0 192.168.1.1 i created the ipconfig and burned it[along with the hdld_svr elf] it loads up fine [on my ps2 ] but it shows my ip address as 192.168.0.10 and there are a couple of lines below my ip address [i dont know what they say because they are hard to read ]that show 0. the problem im having is when i start up the gui and click connect nothing i have on the hard drive shows on the screen. in the bottom right hand corner it says read toc,and stays like that, so i dont think its connecting. could somone please tell me what i may be doing wrong? thankyou. david and thanks to you lord bogami and to all you that develop these cool apps.

hdldump server will NOT load the IPCONFIG.DAT file from the CD. It must be placed on the memory card at mc0:/SYS-CONF/

Use ExecFTPs or PS2Menu or whatever to copy it there.

Forget install scripts. I have a DMS and I don't use them anymore. Do you have PS2Link on a CD? (PS2Link does load IPCONFIG.DAT from the CD, by the way) Once you have that working and connected with Inlink on the PC side you are all set to go from there. Send and run ExecFTPs server through Inlink (it will recognize you are running it through Inlink and therefore an IPCONFIG file isn't necessary.) Start up your favorite FTP program, preferably FlashFXP and connect to your PS2s IP. Now you are all set to create directories on your MC (or even HDD) and start copying programs over. Here is where you would create the folder SYS-CONF on mc0, and then copy IPCONFIG.DAT to it.

I know it sounds like a lot of steps, but once you are set up it gets a lot easier and you won't waste any more CDRs.

I'm not up on how your chip works but I'm assuming it has a DEV mode? For DMS3, dev mode looks for mc0:/boot/boot.elf at startup. So in my case, I started clean and created the boot directory through execftps/flashfxp, then copied LaunchELF 3.11 as boot.elf to that folder. Then I started copying all the other apps over that I wanted. Now when I boot my machine in DEV1, LaunchELF comes up. From there I was able to configure all my other apps to the keys.

to anyone that could answer my questions. i am trying to get hdldump [with lord bogamis gui] to work on my setup. i have tried running it off mc and off a cd. are there anymore programs or pieces i am missing? such as a ftp program? i havea linksys wireless router with a linksys wireless game adapter. do i need to configure it some special way? do programs such as hdl download upload via internet or via local network? any help or insights would be appreciated. also i wanted to add that i am running the router in gateway mode. could this be a problem?
