Online mode over lan?

Hi, I know its possible to play LAN mode online using xlink kali, but I was wondering if its possible to play online modes over 2 PS2's linked together? Or a PS2 linked to a pc, then the pc linked to another PS2 using 2 lan connections?

Me and my friend were hoping to play outbreak co operative with a screen each but there's no option for lan play.
