online & hdloader –
I read that games that don?t have dnas can go online with hdloader.
I also found out, that every dnas enabled game I have, need mode 3 enabled to work, but they can?t connect online.
I just have a feeling that the hdloader purposely stop network adaptor to connect online especially games with dnas.
com123.. you are right i tested it yesterday and i could go online with Tribes Aerial Assault and Twisted Metal Black Online.. but when i tried Resident Evil Outbreak or NFSU it didnt work. Oh and u dont need mode 3 on NFSU.. i didnt change anything and it work but i think im having some issues.. it doesnt auto-load my save game.. i have to load my profiles manually
Interesting, there is something blocking the dnas enabled games. The hd-loader must be design to detect dnas file and then block the game to go online.
People assumed that the hd-loader and network adaptor can?t work together which isn?t true.
I thought that mode 3 had something to do with it; I?ll try out NFSU, and see what happens
hmm i can't wait for more infomation on this subject...
Hmmm.... blocks the network adapteron dnas game... will it block the network adapter that I plug into the usb port?
I tried a little experiment with NFSU.
Before I burnt iso on to dvd disc, I deleted the dnas270.img. The game ran perfectly but obviously I was unable to go online.
I then copied the game on the hdd, but hdloader doesn?t boot it at all now.
As for usb modem I don?t think it going to work but worth a try.
The HD loader does not 'block' DNAS games... what reason would there be for doing so? It's DNAS itself that's causing the problem. DNAS contains all sorts of checks to see that you're not using a cheat device, that the game is on its original media, that you're using the $ony Network Adapter, etc... if any of those fail it will not connect. And obviously, the HD is not its original media. Maybe there'll be a crack for DNAS on the HD someday, but from what I've heard it's really complicated and hence very difficult to do.
Non-DNAS online games should be fine though. I had success with TMB:O myself. The HD loader has nothing against the network adapter...

The problem with DNAS games is that it gives the error that no network adapter was found. This has nothing to do with DNAS as it does not even get to any DNAS screens in the game.
Ya OMnkyPnts that is right.. If we got DNAS screen it would be one step closer to play online with HDD :P cuz it doesnt even recognize the NA so i think HDloader blocks it (because i think maybe they tested it and got banned so they prefered to block it so they wont receive complaints about costumers.. dont u think?)
