Even if this is "homebrewed" in China somewhere and not officially Sony-made, if this works, holy crap!!

PS2 NETWORK ADAPTOR FOR SATA HDD (China Trading Company) - Other Computer Accessories - Computer Accessories Products - DIYTrade China

    Any info on this??!

EDIT, ok something very interesting that I noticed; notice how in this guide you need to modify the back of the LAN only NA: Search for Kablunz guide.

It seems like in the ones on the "diytrade" site - which would be appropriately named if these are custom done jobs - don't have a drilled out back. Interesting.

Being Made in China has to do w/ authenticity, or quality for that matter, as long as it's an official product; latter model PS2's and NA's are Made in China, w/ the Quality being just as good if not better than their JAP made counterparts.

No Sony never made an official SATA NA, but I'm wondering if there's somebody w/in China maybe having access to a supply of leftovers from a factory and modding it themselves? Either way, I'm curious as to how these actually work and perform, and/or if they're even legitimate at all.

I did a little bit of investigating on this the other day and apparently came across the official website of the product here but that website has been frequently down as of late. I did find a few places looking for interest in selling bulk unit purchases while searching for "PS2 Network Adapter SATA". Sure looks like we could see these showing up at a few of the places that are currently loading up on those PS3 jailbreak devices.

Edit: Updated the link for further reference

MC's 32MB-64MB are really slow saving/loading. Now a 128MB MC would have to be the worst. And most are china clone cards, and a lot of the time the MC ends up corrupting all files on the MC.

And also a lot of the cards are not fully compatible with FMCB.

Just some info for you bro..
