Okay, ive been researching this thing for awhile. You cannot use the disc on a ps2 without having a mod chip with atad patching. Thats nice and all. The atad file is located inside one of the pak files on the disc. Now heres the question. If someone has an original hdd and used the disc correctly or someone with the atad patching mod chip, could they extract the data off the hdd connected to a pc and patch the file from the extracted files. Data is saved both to the ps2 hdd and the memcard, so one of the files that determines that the hdd is orig ps2 hardware should be in there somewhere. After extracting the files then the iso could be reconstructed to work will all hdds. Just an idea. What do you think?
