Soul Calibur 2, tekken 4 (in black and white, wtf?), Devil may cry, and a few others that I have tried did not work for me via the HDD. Not sure what's goin on there. Wondering if anyone has any ideas...

Those games just don't work. That's all there is to it. Some of games like Soul Calibur 2 you have to rip to your PC and apply a patch to it then send it to your ps2 hdd via ftp or hooking your ps2 hdd up to your PC. All of which have been explained on this forum. Do a search.

The soul calibur 2 patch thing did not work. But yea, I figured those games just didn't work. Is the tekken 4 being black and white only a known issue?

In order for the 78 trainers patch to work you must not use the cheat! Just leave everything at NO and press start. It will not work if you select some of the cheats available. I have the trainer and pff-o-matic to patch up the file in my briefcase. Check it out if you need it.

does it matter which version of SC2 it is? (JP, USA, PAL?)

cuz I used your patch tools and I loaded it onto my ps2hdd with winhiip...

it loads up to the cheat settings..
i leave everythign OFF and press start...

then I see the namco logo and it freezes....

Did you make sure the type of media was DVD when you upload to your harddrive?

I'm not sure if this would work with JP or PAL, it's working over here and I'm playing USA version.
