Im getting the disc read errors and I have a matrix infinity chip. Right now im getting the PS2 ownz HDLoader. My problem is I have a WD 80 gig harddrive and wanted to know if that would work? I also have a 20 gig (could be more) Harddrive from a 97 emachines PC and it fitted my network adapter perfect. Is there a list someone where that can tell me what harddrives work?

western digital drives' molex connectors usually dont line up with the network adapter. check out http://ps2drives.x-pec.com/ for a list of compatible and non-compatible drives.

From what I've read, most WD hard drives have the connectors too far apart (or was it too close?) to fit the network adapter. Maxtor and Seagate seem to work the best but they do need to be 40GB or larger (I tried a 27GB Maxtor and it didn't work right). For what it's worth, my official Sony drive is a Seagate.
