I gave a friend of mine my original HD Loader disc. He doesn't have a Chip, is there anyway to get the newer homebrew HDL' working?

An idea I had was to get a CD with the latest build that is executable, install it to HIS HDD on my PS2 (which is chipped) and then get him to boot HDL original, then Boot the CD image that was installed and go from there, what do you think?

If he has an older "fat" version of PS2, he could install the exploit and be able to install whatever homebrew he'd like. Just search for it.

Tips? You should find enough information in this forum about the "Title.DB exploit" or "HDLoader Title.DB exploit" using the search function, and google sure knows about it too.

As your PS2 is chipped, you should have no problem to copy in your friend memory card the needed files for the exploit, so it simplify this a lot. Your friend then only need to boot the PS2 with a PS1 CD to trigger the exploit and launch the program you want, in your case i suggest to chainload uLaunch and then HDLoader...
