    Hi all,
I hope I won't piss anybody off but I'd like to know if I need a modded PS2 to make HDL work. I burnt a hdl iso image I found on a peer 2 peer but the PS2 won't read the disk.
    Help !!!

There are ways to boot programs without a modchip, but before anyone can make suggestions, you need to tell us what version of PS2 you have. I suggest heading over to this sub-forum:

I think the v7 is the preferred PS2 model in terms of mods and laser life, so congrats. The independance exploit works great on it. A slide card is a way to open your PS2 tray without the system knowing about it. There are templates online to cut your own out of plastic. You may need to use something like this to get the exploit to your memory card the first time. There's plenty of reading about all this, so good luck.
