I 'm a Vietnamese and i 've been introduced by one of my friend that this forum have lots of useful information and I can find help here. I 've just bought a PC HDD along with a PS2 Network Adapter in order to help my old laser stuff. However, I found that attaching HDD with PS2 isn't an easy work. I boot up with the multi-software CD (link of the CD image: http://www.consoleworld.org/showthread.php?t=202
) and started using HDLoader but the error is that it couldn't find my HDD (Maxtor 20G 5400rpm ATA100 as recommned). My HDD was set master and connected tightly and carefully. With the other software on the CD, eg: HDD Format I found that it had 2 option (one is 'O2" & the other is "Other"). The option O2 showed that maybe it is used for Memory card with abbr mc0:... and the other is HDD. When I tried the option HDD I had to choose between format 28bit and 48bit??? what do these 2 number mean and if I do it wrong, can I damage my HDD? Why hdloader can't find my HDD and how can I transfer ripped game from my PC to PS2. Which tools is the best for fast transfering, supporting many type of transfer?
Sorry 4 my English and thank all in advance.

Try it on someone else's ps2 first. It may be that your Network adapter is bad.

Also to just play ps2 games you don't need the software CD (as you call it) You just need HD loader. 48 bit means you will be using a HDD larger than 120 gb.
    unmodded v10 PS2 NTSC
    120 GB Maxtor Hardrive
    HDL exploit (Key Launcher)
    PS1 game: Twisted Metal 3
    PS2 remote ( w/ reset button )

I checked my HDD, Network card and found that it was because of my dirty PS2. After cleaning it, I could start HDLoader and find my HDD. But there is another problem, I can't start my latest favourite game (Winning Eleven 9/10) although I success in starting the older version of it WE8. Maybe I am using the original version of HDL 0.7c and I guess that I have to patch it. Can anyone tell me how to patch? What file is needed? Can the new version 0.8a GUI solve it? Tks bro u53r&bro richierich very much. Plz kindly help me.
