new hdl wont work for me

i have been using the original HDloader but since some games dont work i decided the get the patched version.

Once i get everything installled on my MC i put in my psx disc, the screen flashes white and then nothing. the screen stays black and dosent do anything.

any ideas/suggestions?

If your trying to use it as your BOOT.ELF you need the modified TITLE.DB posted by crazyc. Next time please search the forums before posting.

i already modified it......but ill try it again

If that doesn't work you can try launching the elf with launchelf or ps2keylauncher. This is what I use.

I assume that by "already modified it" you mean that you add your PS1 game SLUS_XXX.XX to the TITLE.DB, but this isn't what I was refering to. In the link that I provided is a modified TITLE.DB that is use to launch the HDL elf as the boot.elf, because with the normal TITLE.DB you get the result that you describe in your first post. You have to download the modified TITLE.DB and add your PS1 game SLUS_XXX.XX to it and then you should be able to launch the HDL elf as your boot.elf. As digitalFX reccomended, I suggest that you search for LaunchELF, it is agreat app.
