Network Install Woes –
I am attempting to install a 3.7 GB ISO image from ym PC to my PS2 via my network (my PS2 wont read the disk but my PC would). The only netowrk install ap that I was able to get to work was FAP Link, but the 2 gb limit kinda screwed me on that account. I can't get hdl_dump or dumb to run on my PS2 either. It's a Windows 98 machine but I've heard that network mode is supposed to work even on 98? I can make FTP connections to my PS2, but I dont think I can install a game through FTP? Any help on how to install this durn ISO would be greatly appreciated.
I think the best way to install is hook up your HDD into your computer. Then use winhiip to send the ISO into the ps2 HDD. (This is how i does mine, and its very fast, mine transfer around 17mb per second with my 160 gb maxtor)
yeah if you have a nice computer its really nice i get about 35 to 45 mbs now that i am neer teh end of the hdd plater
I have an offical sony HDD and everytime I hook it up to the pc I can't get winhiip or HDL Dump/b to work? Were am I going wrong? I also use HDAvanced/MC exploit.
Please point me in the right derection (good toturial on onte first two pages of this forum).
hdl_dump should work from a dos prompt. What error are you getting? Maybe you can't get hdl_svr to work?
